Layering can be intimidating if you don’t know where to begin. Here are some helpful tips to help you layer like a pro 👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼

•Start with your anchor items. These are your largest, heaviest items like a sofa and coffee table in a living room or a big vase on a shelf.

•Add in some height by adding lamps, art, or tall florals.

•Play with your negative space by creating vignettes.

•Make sure to layer in things that are essential and functional to the space. This eliminates the feeling of clutter.

•Add family photos or keepsakes to make it personal!

Bathroom envy.

I haven’t posted a beautiful bathroom pic in a while - this one deserves a spot on the grid!

With all the soft colored, smooth finishes in such a small space this organically shaped, brass mirror was the perfect addition. ❤️

It’s all about the details.

Wood inside the shelving adds depth and contrast. The dainty knobs add subtle charm to each drawer and pantry. Tile that varies ever so slightly from each other creates movement over a large space.

Struggling with how to mix lighting in an open concept? Here are some tips to keep in mind to create a cohesive space👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼

•Consider the layers of light needed in each space. Are you lighting a work surface? A place to eat? Start with what’s needed for your individual home’s function and layer from there.

•Try to avoid mixing more than 2 finishes.

•Use different and contrasting shapes to add some variety.

•If you have multiple statement light fixtures and ceiling fans, try your best to make those fans disappear! A great way to do that is to match the fan blades to the color of your ceiling.
